StorInsight provides competitive pricing intelligence for self-storage operators. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use storinsight.com and the StorInsight dashboard, API and MCP server (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Data we collect
Account data (Google sign-in)
StorInsight uses Google sign-in. When you sign in we receive your email address, your name and your profile picture from your Google account. We use these solely to create and operate your StorInsight account: identifying you, showing your name and avatar in the dashboard, and sending service messages to your email address. We do not request access to any other Google data — no Gmail, Drive, contacts or calendar — and we never post or act on your behalf.
Account data (Microsoft sign-in)
Where Microsoft sign-in is enabled, we receive your email address, your name and your profile picture from your Microsoft Entra ID account when you sign in. We use these solely to create and operate your StorInsight account: identifying you, showing your name and avatar in the dashboard, and sending service messages to your email address. We do not request access to any other Microsoft 365 data — no Outlook mail, Teams, OneDrive or calendar — and we never post or act on your behalf.
Organization and subscription data
Your account belongs to an organization workspace (your company, or a personal workspace of one). We store the organization’s name, selected markets, plan and subscription status, alert rules, and any facilities or benchmarks your organization configures. Payments are processed by Stripe; we store your subscription state and billing identifiers but never see or store full card numbers.
Usage data
We record standard operational logs (sign-in events, API request counts per day for plan limits and abuse prevention, and error logs). We use essential cookies only — a session cookie and a security (CSRF) cookie required for sign-in to work. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Market data is not personal data
The pricing intelligence shown in the Service (competitor rates, promotions, availability) is collected from storage operators’ public websites and relates to businesses, not to individuals.
How we use data
- To provide, secure and bill the Service.
- To send service communications (alerts you configure, billing and account notices).
- To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse.
- To improve the Service using aggregated, de-identified usage patterns.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of processors to run the Service: Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments and subscription billing), and our hosting infrastructure providers. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
Retention and deletion
Account and organization data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to, we delete or de-identify your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain records for legal, tax or billing-dispute reasons. Operational logs rotate on a short schedule.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent to processing that relies on consent. We honour applicable data-protection laws, including Singapore’s PDPA and, where it applies, the GDPR. To exercise any right, contact us at the address below; we respond within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is scoped per organization, and administrative access is logged. No method of storage is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you as required by law.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard before they take effect.
